Department: BH-Partial Hospital
Location: Providence, RI

Butler Hospital is seeking talented therapists to work per diem shifts in our partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs (IOP's) at both our Providence and South County locations. A per diem program therapist fulfills the job duties of a program therapist in the event of call outs, vacations, and unit surges (we frequently invite patients beyond day-to-day staff capacity in order to keep access swift for the community).

The per diem role supports our psychiatric programs (CBT partial, Women's DBT partial, Adolescent Partial, Young Adult Partial, Older Adult IOP, OCD IOP, and Young Adult IOP), and our substance use disorder programs (Alcohol and Drug Partial and substance use IOP's). Work consists of initial psychiatric evaluations, 1:1 therapy, treatment planning, family contact, group therapy, team engagement, and documentation.

All programs operate during the day and evening on weekdays (M-F) and per diem hours are extremely flexible and substantial. A minimum of three shifts per month are required to fulfill this role; however, an employee is welcome to work more shifts if desired!

Requirements:

Master's Degree or above, license required, independent license preferred

Training and Experience: Experience in a psychiatric setting is required. Training and experience in delivering a variety of therapeutic modalities preferred (CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, Motivational Interviewing). Experience in 1:1 therapy, assessment, diagnosing and group therapy required.

Special Qualifications: Interest and commitment in the programs at Butler Hospital and the Dept of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown.

Schedule: Per Diem
