Program Therapist Young Adult Partial

Department: BH-Partial Hospital
Location: Providence, RI

Butler Hospital is seeking an energized, organized, driven therapist to join our team in the Young Adult Partial Program! The Young Adult Partial Program has been helping young adults, ages 18-26, who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mood related issues common to transitioning youth for over 10 years. The program provides patients with daily group therapy sessions that utilize ACT, CBT, and DBT with a deep focus on resiliency and ownership in ones treatment. The role of the program therapist is to support a caseload of young adults by conducting initial psychiatric evaluations, providing daily 1:1 therapy, family support, and group therapy over the course of a patients enrollment. This position, like all program therapist positions in our census programs, provides support as needed to our other partial hospital and IOP programs/populations as assigned (conducting the same clinical duties).

Requirements~

Education: Master’s Degree in counseling, social work or related field required.

Licensure: Preliminary License Required, (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW), Independent license in State of RI preferred. Must be currently eligible to earn hours towards and be in pursuit of independent licensure in the State of RI.

Training and Experience: Experience in a psychiatric setting is required. Training and experience in 1:1 therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, initial psychiatric evaluations and diagnosing required. Experience in CBT, DBT, ACT, and experience treating Young Adults preferred.

Special Qualifications: Interest and commitment in the programs at Butler Hospital and the Dept of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown.

Schedule: 40/80 Full Time Days / Mon-Fri
